Patios
Usually the centrepiece of a garden redesign, and best planned within it.
Whether you have a designer’s plan ready to build, a sloping plot that needs taming, or just a clear sense that the space is wasted, tell us what you are imagining and we will introduce landscaping professionals whose credentials we have already checked.
So we can match you accurately, the enquiry asks whether you need design, build or maintenance, or a combination; the approximate size of the space; the works you have in mind; how the garden is accessed; and whether you already have plans or drawings.
Access matters more than most owners expect. If the only way in is through the house or a narrow side gate, machinery may not fit and every tonne of spoil leaves by wheelbarrow, which changes the approach and the price. It is far better discussed at the start. Every question has a “not sure” option.
Very few companies genuinely do all three well. A beautiful drawing built badly, or solid groundwork with no design eye, both waste your money. We match the shape of your project to partners with the right capability, not just the nearest one.
The enquiry separates design, build and maintenance so we can introduce companies that actually do the part you need.
Trading history, public liability insurance and identity, verified before a partner sees your enquiry.
Every partner submits photographs of completed work as part of their application, so structural work like retaining walls is backed by proof, not promises.

What this page will show once our founding partners have work to photograph.
This is Kalvaro artwork, not a photograph. We have deliberately not filled this page with stock images of somebody else’s landscaping, because presenting bought imagery as a partner’s own work is exactly the sort of thing we exist to avoid.
As our founding partners complete landscaping projects, their photographs will replace this, with their permission and their name against the work.
Not necessarily. Some projects need a designed plan first; others are well within a good landscaper’s judgement on site. The enquiry asks whether you need design, build or both, and we introduce professionals who fit the answer. If you already have a design, say so, because building someone else’s plan faithfully is a skill in itself.
It is a constraint, not a dealbreaker, but it needs pricing honestly. Restricted access rules out most machinery, slows spoil removal and protects nothing by being discovered on day one. Tell us in the enquiry and we will introduce companies used to working that way.
Hard landscaping happens year round, weather permitting. Planting and turfing prefer spring and autumn. Good companies are often booked ahead for the popular months, so enquiring earlier than feels necessary is rarely a mistake.
Some can, and some claim to. Structural work like retaining walls and terracing needs different competence to soft landscaping, which is exactly why we review the works you list and match accordingly rather than sending your enquiry to everyone.
Pricing is agreed directly between you and the professional you choose. It varies enormously with size, levels, access and materials, which is why the enquiry asks about each. Kalvaro makes the introduction; we do not set or guarantee prices.
Yes. Maintenance is one of the options in the enquiry, on its own or alongside a build. A newly planted garden needs care in its first seasons, and it is worth deciding who provides that before the build finishes rather than after.

Boundaries frame the whole design and are easiest replaced before planting.
